About Topher

Topher Riddle started out as an actor back in middle school and became a professional actor after college. He worked for multiple children’s theaters including the Patchwork Playhouse and Columbia Children’s Theatre, both based out of Columbia, SC. He then moved to Michigan to work as an actor, rodeo clown, and stunt performer in a wild west stunt show at The Double JJ Ranch and Golf Resort.

Ten years ago Topher started going to local comedy open mics and has since become a favorite in Columbia, South Carolina’s comedy scene. He’s been nominated multiple times for “Best Local Comedian” in Columbia’s Free Times publication, and has received the honor of being the runner up nearly each time. In addition to Columbia, he can be seen performing regularly in Charlotte, Charleston, and much of the southeast when he goes on tour. Topher has performed stand up in several comedy festivals in the region such as the Queen City Comedy Experience in Charlotte and the North Carolina Comedy Festival in Greensboro, NC.

He’s also a founding member of the sketch/improv group, Tomorrowquest Theatre. They’ve performed monthly shows at Art Bar for nearly 8 years, and participated in festivals like the Gatlinburg Improv Festival and the Charleston Comedy Festival.

Topher has been fortunate enough to open for comedians like Myq Kaplan, Ben Kronberg, Brian Posehn, and Doug Stanhope, to name(drop) a few. He has been a guest on the “Doug Loves Movies” podcast, hosted by Doug Benson, and he helped break the world record for longest non-stop stand up comedy show which ran for more than eight straight days in Nashville, TN.

I’ve been fortunate enough to work with these talented comedians plus many, many more…
